Anisotropic Nanostructures: Fabrication and Applications

This symposium session reviews recent advances in synthesis, characterization, and physico-chemical properties of anisotropic nanomaterials highlighting emerging applications of nanomaterials to sensing and imaging, catalysis, biological and environmental implications, plasmonics, energy and national security missions. The goal is to provide an excellent and comprehensive overview of the chemistry and physics of nano-materials as a function of particles shape, size, morphology and composition for a variety of applications.
