New drug development is a complex process where many scientific disciplines are involved and medicinal chemistry plays an important role in this process. Discovery of a new drug requires a better understanding of synthetic chemistry, computational chemistry, molecular biology, drug interactions, receptor signaling, etc. The speakers around the country will highlight the recent trends in medicinal chemistry, biomedical and clinical research in the field of HIV, cancer, multiple sclerosis, inflammation, and infectious diseases. This symposium will give a platform for exchange, sharing, and collaboration to the academic, government and private research scientists in the field of drug development and discoveries. Postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate students will have the opportunity to learn, meet and interact with eminent researchers.
